Bottle 330ml. [ As Sahtipaja Viol ].Clear light yellow - clear crystal water color with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate honey, flowers, citrus, violet. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet with a average to long duration, floral, flowers, honey. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is flat. [20150227]

Draft @ Beer Ditch, Malmö. Pours a slightly hazy yellow golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty spicy yeasty hoppy tropical fruit aroma. Fruity spicy yeasty hoppy bitter weak wine flavor. Has a fruity malty spicy citrus hoppy yeasty finish.

Bottle courtesy of and shared with Meadme. Claire doré presque paille. Arôme offre un bouquet profond de tarte aux pommes, note de cannelle? avec une douceur de pomme caramélisée en rétro, le tout avec un once de pomme fruité. Palais garde ce côté dessert de pomme, pointe d’épice rappelant la cannelle avec une petite douceur de fin de bouche et un léger pétillant qui tire vers le cidre. Astringence persiste en fin de bouche avec un léger fleuri. Quasi certain que des extraits sont utilisés pour cet hydromel ... surtout dans la manière de restituer le côté tarte aux pommes.

Bottle courtesy of tkrjukoff. Pours clear sparkling extremely pale greenish golden with a small fizzy white head that quickly dissipates without leaving any trace on the glass. Smell is spicy with honey, ginger, minerals and lemon peal. Taste is very tiny sweet, very tiny sour and spicy. Mouthfeel is sparkling, tiny spicy hot and light bodied. Finish is very tiny sweet and very tiny sour with honey, ginger, apple skins and lemon peal. Tap @ Beer Temple during Carnivale Brettanomyces, with Countbeer & Iluvatarmilan. Nice red/pink/orange color, cloudy. Pinkish head, thin layer retention. Aroma’s fruit, sweet, sour, raspberry, syrup. Retronasal it’s sour, sour fruit, light plastic. Flavor is moderate sour, light sweet. Light bodied. Flavors linger.

Aroma’s of fruit-syrup, sweet, blackberry, raspberry. Retronasal it’s clearly raspberry, sour. Flavor is sour, fruity. Light bodied. Flavors linger.

Sample courtesy of the brewer. Pours tiny hazy deep ruby red leaving some beautiful legs on the glass. Smell is intensely fruity with high quality honey, currant (both red and black), cherries in brandy, hay, moist soil, leather and alcohol. Taste is sweet, tiny sour and fruity. Mouthfeel is viscous, round, sticky sweet, tart, boozy and near full bodied. Finish is sweet and sour with honey, red and black currants, raspberries, gooseberries, cherries, hay, moist soil, alcohol and lemon peal. Bloody hell this is good! This is actually best of Schramm’s good! Damn!

Tap at Jopen Amsterdam. Dark amber color, tiny white head. Funky blue cheese and berryish aroma. Light-bodied. Suprisingly taste is not so wild. It is like watered down sahti with juniper flavor and light banana plus some citric extra. Like "small sahti". I still prefer traditional ones.
