Bottle sample, many thanks to Nische! Deep ruby color with no head. Aroma is salty liquorice and raspberries indeed, deep honey. Taste is raspberry, liquorice, full blown forest honey too, a bit sticky and muted on your tongue, really a bit weird, but well-made. Oily mouthfeel, flat. Very interesting, but not sure if it's a great Mead.

Awesome. Lemon/peach/pear/apple/melon/floral/herbal/oak; lt vanilla/caramel/toffee/smoke/leather/mint/spice. Sweet/med-full body. Lt acid/tannic drying. No cloying. Mild increasing warmth/no booze. Great unique honey complexity, solid barrel presence.

Bottle at home. Dark red, still of course. Sweetened raspberries, salty liquorice, quite a kick of boozy sweet honey. The salty and sweet don't go together completely for me.

Sip from bottle. Yellow clear color, no head. Smells honey, baking powder, light booze, light chili. Nice smell. Full body, no carbonation, slick mouthfeel. Tastes of honey, chili. Finishes with a rather strong chili burn. Decent, but chili is over the top 7, 4, 5, 3, 11

Excellent. Beetroot/dirt/cherry/berries/peach/pear/orange/floral/honey/herbal; lt toffee/vanilla. Sweet/full body. Lt tart/spicy alcohol drying. No cloying. Smooth sipping, increasing warmth/lt booze. Great balance b/w beetroot/honey complexity.
