Description
In 1728, Aspall was founded by Clement Chevallier in the parish of Aspall, Suffolk. While all around him were growing cereals, he chose to plant apple trees. Almost 300 years on, we’re still going against the grain, making remarkable cyder & cyder vinegars at the original Aspall Cyder House.

Draft @ Barge East for the Sunday Roast.

Ok. Little too sweet. Nothing special. I prefer my cider dry and funky!

Bottle from Ciderwinkel. Aroma is sweet and slightly tart apple with apple juice, ripe apple, hint of almond. Fairly sweet flavour, lightly tart. Medium body.

Aroma of ripe red apples with oaky woody undertones. Taste of red and green apples with the wood coming through. A biter sweet dry finish with average carbonation. Very nice

Draught pre football at Portman Road. Cider better than the result, but that is not hard these days. Aroma and taste is of sweet apples with a hint of citrus and no funk. There are worse ciders.

Sample courtesy of SHIG, cheers. Aroma is very funky and vinegary with rubber, apples and strawberry. Taste is slightly fruity but dominated by funky, fusty notes. Very carbonated. Not really for me.

Bottle from Waitrose, Solihull. Clear gold, bubbles around the edges, quite carbonated. Nice dry fruity apple aroma, some skins, light leather. Sweet apple pith, tangy middle, bitter woodiness, sugars, semi-dry, slightly boozy going down but warming. Medium bodied, slick, fine carbonation and not overdone despite appearance. Good.
