Marks & Sparks Own Brand Cans Evening At Home Beer#3 of 3. Two down, one to go! Black porter with a subtle rather than understated chocolate driven aroma and taste. It's quite dry tasting too, making its sweetness low in this brew.

Marks & Sparks Own Brand Cans Evening At Home Beer#2 of 3. One down, two to go! Practically black beer without the fullest of stout bodies or tastes, but the expected smoothness it has does give it a good mouthfeel. Its aroma is fair.

Marks & Sparks Own Brand Cans Evening At Home Beer#1 of 3. Starting with the clear golden Adnams brew. A lager-esque pale for me, with a similar clean texture and taste and light citrus providing the character for this. Its mint plays a part though, similarly light but evident in both aroma and taste.

Very nice overall. Bit of tar, ashy roast, old rubber, raisin, cocoa. Delicate, velvety nitro. Smooth. Mellow sweetness. Very drinkable. Some burnt toast too.

Pretty clean, lightly sweet, nips of grapefruit, mellow grass, lemon peel, lean pale malt, low bitterness, citrus pith. Simple but very drinkable.
