Description
In mythology, literature and many cultures, the Raven is seen as a culture hero, a revered and benevolent, transformative figure. The Raven helps people, blesses them with gifts and shapes the world. But at the same time, he is a frivolous trickster, a light-hearted prankster who is sometime gluttonous and impatient. The Raven as our totem works perfectly. We like to think we are creative, wise, playful and a bit bird-brained; just like those wacky Ravens.

Draft at the brewery. Stumbled upon this gem by complete accident. Listed as 12+%. 2012 vintage. Pours a jet black color with a tan foam head. Cocoa aroma, with a small amount of raisin, plum and booziness. Smooth drink with no overpowering flavor at all. Dark fruit hinted flavor with a mild cocoa flavor. So we’ll balanced. Quick sweet finish. Fantastic beer.

Draught at Taphouse Grille, Seattle
Golden color. It has a light fruity aroma; other than that, it’s a very boring beer, with a poor malt flavor, relatively low bitterness, somehow mellow. No interesting aroma or flavor here.
I couldn’t drink more than 2oz.

Draft - Lots of caramel, bourbon, vanilla and barrel notes. Cloudy copper. Bourbon, caramel, vanilla and some booze burn. Probably better than I am giving it credit for, had quite a few of these in the last couple of days.

On tap at Seattle Winter Beer Festival 2014, pours a hazy orange amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out caramel malts, loads of whiskey and toasted nuts. Flavour is complex as hell, with toasted walnuts, whiskey barrels, and light booze. Elegant and complex, with walnuts upfront. Wonderful stuff.

On tap at Seattle Winter Beer Festival 2014, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out loads of roasted malt, dry cocoa powder, and more roast. Flavour is super roasty, with lots of roasted malt upfront, along with dry cocoa powder. Robust and roasty, with a very dry palate. Excellent beer.

Draft pour at the brewery. Pours a near black with a quick tan head. Roasted coffee bean aroma. This is exactly what I look for in an imperial stout. Big bold chocolate flavor without the richness to it. Immediate coffee presence without overpowering the entire beer. Bold, roasted flavor, and easy to drink. Smooth unsweetened chocolate finish. Wow. Loved this beer.

22 oz bottle pour. Pours a copper color with a lasting head. Strange vegetable aroma with some spices. Not the most pleasant. Flavor has a lot of "holiday" to it. A bit of pumpkin, rye and chai. A ton of spice. Had no problem drinking this beer down quick. Tasty. Very flavorful. Enjoyed this.
