Description
In mythology, literature and many cultures, the Raven is seen as a culture hero, a revered and benevolent, transformative figure. The Raven helps people, blesses them with gifts and shapes the world. But at the same time, he is a frivolous trickster, a light-hearted prankster who is sometime gluttonous and impatient. The Raven as our totem works perfectly. We like to think we are creative, wise, playful and a bit bird-brained; just like those wacky Ravens.

Lots of sediment in this gold beer. Tons of yeast in the flavor and aroma, Belgian yeast. Sweet, typical for the style. Well carbonated. Some coriander and spice. Very much like a tripel.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours orange gold with a foamy white head. Nice spicey orange zest aroma. Medium plus body with foamy carbonation. This stuff has something of a bite - assume that’s the zest. It’s definitely dry, rather tart, arguably earthy, grassy and arguably other stuff. Maybe peppery. There is a lot going on with this. The rye seems discernible. Not for the mouth that wants to relax. This beer demands attention. Excellent.

From Skyview, as Inauguration IPA. A good ipa. The flavor and aroma are right, with citrus and bitter hops, but what is there is far too light. A lack of palate really hurts this beer. Gold color.

Light golden amber color, buscuity, pineapple, bready, caramel, very interesting nose. Medium body. Alcohol well hidden, bready, pineapples, spicy mouth. Lingering bready, piney finish. Very interesting. Not like any other Belgian strong ale.

Courtesy of markwise. Pours deep gold with thin white head. The aroma is hay and fruit then moving to spices and yeast. Seems inviting. The taste is soft and smooth with silky sweetness bleeding into apricot, apple, some plum and then a modest amount of tart tannins. It ends with lingering fruit and a touch of yeasty spice.
