Bomber from the Nugget in Woodland, CA. Pours dark brown with a transient tan head. Nice coffee aroma. Near full body. Flavor is very coffee - fresh drinkable coffee - with some dark malt and suggestions of chocolate. The coffee is not overdone, so this may be one of the better coffee flavored ales around at the moment. Try it, if you can get it. Finishing coffee and nicely bitter - with a chocolate residue.

Bomber from the Nugget in Woodland, CA. Pours dark ruddy copper with a slight beige/tan head. Damn’d if it doesn’t seem to have an apple aroma. Might not have gone that way except for the prior rating, but that’s what it is now for me. Underlying brown sugar. Full bodied. Flavor is sort of apple with dark fruit like prune, and maybe a little date, seems to have some light chocolate, and there’s a lot of brown sugar character. Despite which it isn’t very sweet. Warm it in your mouth and smack a bit. Very taste smacking. Not a trace of heat. Drinks exceptionally smooth.

Bomber from Corti Bros. Pours golden amber with a creamy white head. Aroma is dusty, then fruity. Or maybe "green" then fruity. Interesting. Med + body. Flavor is earthy, dusty, fruity, "green". Getting a mild hop burn. This is very good stuff. Very different. Not getting much malt through the hop flavors. Finishes hoppy and nicely bitter - not a NW, but bitter. Different is quite good.

Bomber shared by Marcus. Pours brilliant gold with a slight, transient white head. Aroma is a very different green leafy perhaps earthy hop. Med body or better. Flavor is very green herb/veg. Finish is that plus earth. Very different.

22 oz bomber given to me by my in-laws. The pour is a hazed copper brown with a one inch light tan head. The aroma is slightly spiced grass hops, along with a bit of caramel cracker malt. The taste is a subdued balance between the grassy hops and the mildly sweet cracker malt. The palate is light to medium bodied with a bit of a harsh carbonation, with a mineral grain finish. Nice enough.

Bomber at Taylor’s Market in Sacramento, CA. Pours clear light gold with a small creamy white head. Aroma is bready with a bit of citrus. Med body, almost. Flavor is bready and the hop is very interesting. It seems noble like kolsch from Koln, but ... The overall hop finish brought the very, very old Olympia beer into my head. Or at least what my head remembers from a spring day in 1960! Finishes bready and arguably more tastily hopped than a number of kolsches from Koln. Doesn’t that resonate!

Draft. Listed as Ruhstaller Sunny Jim Full Bitter @ 5.8% but guessing this goes here (as opposed to the half bitter version). Golden beer with a whitish head. Malt and light grapefruit aroma. Grapefruit and light malt flavor with light lemon. Medium bodied. Grapefruit and light lemon lingers with light malt.
