12 oz. can from HEB, Boerne, TX. Happy 4th of July! Pours a clear, very dark amber color with a beige head and fair retention. Almost no lacing. Light caramel malt aroma. Sweet caramel, brown sugar, and molasses flavor with an odd tangy finish. Light body. (Too) low carbonation. No bitterness. A little lifeless. Past it's prime? Disappointing.

12 oz. can from HEB in Boerne, TX. Pours a crystal clear pale gold color with a giant white head and annoyingly good retention, yet almost no lacing. Standard pilsner malt aroma. Slightly soapy malt flavor up front with a very mild grassy finish. Light, watery body. Crisp, highly carbonated. Low bitterness. Harmless, but a bit bland.
