Poppyland Brewery
Microbrewery
in Cromer,
Norfolk,
England 🏴
Associated Venue: Poppyland Brewery
Established in 2012
It is beer that’s based in north Norfolk, using barley grown and malted in locally, plus ingredients sometimes locally foraged but not excluding anything from anywhere in the world. Beer is brewed in small quantities 200 – 300 litres and either bottled or casked. All operations, from the formulation of the recipe to the design of the labels, is carried out in house.
Martin retired at the end of 2018 and Dave Cornell took over the brewery from the beginning of 2019. We have continued to follow the philosophy that has worked so well and the strapline ‘Adventures in beer start here…’ is as relevant nowadays as it was from the outset of the brewery.

Bottle from Beautiful Beers, Bury St Edmunds. Hazy amber beer, big pale cream coloured head. Palate is light, slightly soft and a little dry. Smooth light malt. Light floral orange with mild orange marmalade underneath. Subtle spice. Semi dry finish. Well joined up and pretty drinkable.
