[Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading.] A mahogany coloured pour with a cherry red glint and a trace of beige head; fruity aroma; rather thin in the mouth with a fruity cherry taste to start then some vanilla and marzipan; then a dry finish with lingering marzipan and a little warmth.

Half-pint, cask ale after breakfast at Coronet (JDW). Good looking in the glass with crocheted lacing from a durable beige head, bright copper coloured body. Inviting caramel-chocolate aromas. Fine balanced taste of caramel and chocolate offset by moments of dark fruits. Rounded dark malt-fruity end. Clean on the swallow. Fits the season. (London, 06.12.2023).

Draft. A cloudy golden beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma has notes of citrus fruit, butter, straw, and malt. The flavor is sour with notes of fruit, butter, straw, and malt, leading to a dry finish. Is it off or just weird?

Pours a hazy mahogany brown colour with a small, mostly lasting, creamy beige head. The aroma is citrusy, orange peel and lime, with some light resiny notes. A moderately sweet taste, orange, lime, and light caramel malt flavours with a light citrusy bitterness.

Cask ale, half-pint shared with Finn at Mad Bishop & Bear. Bubbles on the surface of a misty golden body, spotty lacing. Moderate smell of leafy hops and mid-sweet malts. Fine blended taste of bread-like malts and leafy hops. Moments of leafy bitterness to the end. Decent. (London, 30.09.2023).
