On cask at Washington Brewers Cask Festival, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out fresh vanilla beans upfront. Flavour is similar, with muted vanilla beans and not a whole lot else. Fairly muted and not very strong in any flavour department. Decent.

On cask at Washington Brewers Cask Festival, pours a murky peach-color with a small white head. Nose brings out Belgian yeast, with the slightest hint of faded raspberries. Flavour brings out fuzzy raspberry zest and some light Belgian yeast. Well-balanced and pleasant. Nice one.

On cask at Washington Brewers Cask Festival, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is dry, with biscuity malt, some earthy hops and a sort of BO-like quality. Flavour follows accordingly, starting with earthy notes and finishing sort of BO-like, with a light astringency. Doesn't strike me as an IIPA let alone an IPA. Meh.

Draft pour at the brewery. Pours a fizzy orange color with a patchy head. I love galaxy hops. Just something about them. Very nice hop forward aroma. Crisp flavor with some orange and a ton of hops. Lingering slightly bitter finish to it. Some grapefruit on the late palate. Tasty. Another good IPA.

On tap. Pours a murky brown with moderate head. Aromas of flat bourbon and sweetest roasty malts. Flavors carry same its additional notes of leather, milk chocolate, sour dark fruit and oak. Interesting. 12% ABV is well hidden.

12oz bottle poured into my wedding 6oz tasting glass. My wife bought this a little while ago in a mix-6 from TJs. I had little desire for the beer. I did not think this brewery would make anything interesting in this style, additionally juniper scares me. It pours with a small but tight head that maintains. Upon the first sniff I was surprised by the beer. First, no strong juniper. Then no strong hops flavor. Finally, a strong malt character. Is it possible, an amber ale that isn’t hop-centric or flabby on the malt? Well, it is. Earthy and a bit cocoa. The flavor has an addition of lightly bitter hops and just a light herbal character (juniper?). It offsets the strong malt character. Thick body (for the style)with a bit of tingling carbonation.

On tap at The Collective Tap, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma is very earthy, with raspberries and crisp wheat - pretty dank and earthy. Flavour is way too dirty and yeasty, with light raspberries and wheat. Way too dirty and yeasty, and not complex.
