Moncada Brewery
Microbrewery in London Borough of Brent, Greater London, England 🏴
Established in 2011
Closed in 2021
We began Moncada Brewery in the colourful area of Notting Hill. Julio surrounded himself with like-minded craft beer obsessives and became inspired by the neighbourhood – creative, vibrant and hemmed with diversity – and the Notting Hill beer range was born, which makes up our core range today.
Later, in 2017, we moved to Dollis Hill to expand and explore a new locality. A new place marked a new start, and the Blueprint beer series was launched, focusing on experimentation and limited edition releases, with a touch of eccentricity.
Relocated once more in Spring 2018 to the current address.

Bottle as part of a delivery from the Blue Boar, Leicester. Very, very dark brown, opaque with a small ring of brown head. Big vanilla aroma with hints of nutmeg, marshamallow, chocolate milk. Sweet taste but there a hot petrol bitterness to it mid-sip. Finishes sweeter, with more chocolate, caramel. Low carbonation but who needs it with this big thick oily body. Buckles a bit under the weight of its own ABV but still very nice.

Bottle delivered from the Blue Boar and drunk at home. Very dark brown, opaque with a quickly dissipating light brown head. Sweet spice, vanilla, raspberry. At first the taste is a bit harsh and boozy, but letting it settle and taking smaller sips reveals a creamy sweetness followed by an earthy bitterness with coking chocolate and caramel in the aftertaste. Thick body, low to medium carbonation. A lovely imperial stout.
