Cloudy amber color, persistent head (small). Nice malty aroma, caramel. Good malty taste, some sweetness, nice aromatic hopping, caramel and very light sweet liquorice. Very pleasant.

Cask @ Bishop’s Arms Malmö. Colour is Amber. Aroma is fruity and a bit nutty. Has a sweet malty flavor and some caramle hints. Maybe not the best from Fullers.

Bottle. Cloudy reddish colour. Vinous, sherryish, dried fruit aroma. Flavour is also quite vinous and a little sourish. Low carbonation. Strange, but I kind of like it. Probably best in small doses.

Cask at Oliver Twist, Stockholm. Brownish amber. Resiny hop aroma. Dry and ligh bodied with a distinct, firm mouthfeel. salty and bready with a finish that mixes orange and bitterness. [Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen] An amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is sweet with notes of caramel and fruit giving it a very slight spiciness. The flavor is also sweet malty with strong notes of caramel and spices - it might be the molasses that gives it the spiciness, though I can’t pick out the molasses. Nice.

Bottle. Nice raisin, dried cherry,vinegar, and hops aroma. Cloudy orange brown color - absolutely no head. Sugary sweet dried fruit up front that is quickly overwhelmed by bitterness. No carbonation - don’t really taste any of the claimed Calvados flavor except for being sweet - maybe it needed to age another decade or so.

(Bottle 27,5 cl) I was planning to keep this bottle for a few more years, but it was about to shoot the cork through the plastic coating and I wouldn’t risk losing most of a beer again in the same manner as what happened to my "Gales Christmas" about a month ago. Pity
Beautiful amber golden, presumably clear but with a wee sediment hiding at the bottom. Small, off-white head. Nose full of overripe fruit with a tart edge. Taste is also slightly tart, you get a notion of wooden casks, earth and noble rot. Dry, bitter finish. Complex and very unusual. 140805
