very very dark but not quite black, with a malty nose,a nd a chocolaty roast flavour thats too burnt,1.8 TK2 deep brown ...peaty woody malt nose ... smooth chocolate roast ... little charcoal (not as burnt as i thought first time thought the burntness builds over time)

This beer calls itself an IPA and the site calls it an ESB. Whatever it is, it is enjoyable. Cloudy golden pour with average, fizzy head. Malty aroma of toffee and fruit along with notes of flowers and grass. The flavor starts moderately sweet and moves to nicely bitter so that the bitterness dominates. Light to medium body with soft carboonation.

Bottled. Clear, golden (off course) ale with a white head. Caramel, malt and some fruityness in the aroma, but a bit weak. Caramel, malt and some fruity notes of hops in the flavor. Medium body. A session-style beer, but too ordinary. Rating: 5-3-5-3-11-2.7 (070404)Bottle, thx to tarjei. A clear, golden pour results in a quite small, but decent, off-white head. Malty nose with bready tones and caramel. A weak fruity hop aroma filling in the blanks. Fruity flavor with a decent bitterness. Lacks on the maltyness found in the aroma. Medium mouthfeel, quite low on co2. Decent finish with citruspeel and some bitterness. Refreshing and boring. (081108)

500ml bottle. Clear mahogany body with a dense beige head. Aromatic citrus hoppy aroma. A bit sweet malt, fruity and bitter flavor. Medium bodied beer, nice but a bit ordinary.

Pour is a dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is nice with dark chocolate and butterscotch. Flavor is a big let down. Starts smooth but finish is tart and watery. Nothng real great and the cream stout is much better.

Golden coloured with no head and very little carbonation. A bit of malt in the aroma. Very easy to drink but not in anyway memorable, other than a dry finish. Ok.

Pour is a black with a small tan head. Aroma is super dark chocolate malts with a nice roasted smokyness to it. Flavor is chocolate with some vanilla and caramel appearing. This is one of those beers you see at any half way decent beer store but for some reason you never pick up. A tasty example of the style and recommended, too bad i did not pick up sooner. .
