A big ol 1 Liter flip top Labeled with Winter Ale. Pours out a brown with some red highs topped with a small head. Aroma was of sweet spice and ginger bread cookies. Taste was more of the spice some nutmeg, and cinnamon along with sweet molasses. A tasty winter brew thanks Matt.

On tap - pours a cloudy yellow. Aroma is slightly grassy and hoppy. Flavour is grainy, a little bitter - quite thin-bodied. Decent, but unmemorable pilsner.

On tap at the Alibi Room - pours a golden/red. Aroma of skunky hops, herbs and marijuana. Flavour is potent herbal hops with a lingering bitterness. Fairly unspectacular IPA, but at the same time refreshing.

Bought one of these the first time they came out, the unique one-litre resealable bottle format was intriguing and a good marketing ploy for the brewhouse. Smells all right and is significantly strong enough for a brown ale, lots of hops and barley on the nose, and a good sipping beer, but not very complex.

Bought as a bottle in BC awhile back. Good tasting beer and I bought it specifically for the alcohol kick, which was significant in the one-litre bottle. Kind of a darker ale and not nearly as complex as one would hope from this style, however.

Tried this one over a year back from a bottle bought from a BC liquor store. Had a nice sweet taste, some unique elements in the flavour, was okay, taste was a little artificial to be a bitter though. I think the name is the main driver behind buying a bottle!
