Description
Purchased by Tilray in 2022.
Our story started in 1998 with two friends who noticed a lack of fresh beer on Long Island and wanted to lower their bar tabs. We built a brewery on Long Island's South Shore in Patchogue, a tough and humble coastal town.
In 2014, Blue Point partnered with Anheuser-Busch, joining its family of craft brands in The High End business unit. Our operations, brewing and management team continue to be led from Patchogue, N.Y.
In 2019 we opened our new brewery on Patchogue's Main Street. This new facility will not only increase our brewing capacity, but will also lets beer lovers experience the people and place that inspire Blue Point every day. And we're pretty damn proud to be a part of that.

12 oz. can from Total Wine. Pours an opaque raw umber color with ruby highlights and a khaki head with good retention. Good lacing. Spiced aroma. Dark lager flavor with nutmeg and some cinnamon. I don't taste the vanilla. Overall, a nice diversion from the usual beers but one is enough. Medium body and medium carbonation. Low bitterness. And the 6.4% ABV is well hidden. Decent winter fireplace beer.

total wine. Can as pictured. Almost clear pale. Initial nose is sweeter lager. Decent level of co2 on the uptake. Taste is a little uncivilized, but considering the 9+ percent alky content, it's not bad. Some fruit, orange is present. Somewhat rude in nature at times in the middle. Oh well, just another domestic high alky uncontrolled fruit beer. There, you have it.

Seems on the sweet side for a craft(adjacent) lager, with a good bit of corn mixed with notes of apple, biscuit, and yeast. Finishes with lingering grain and a slight floral bitterness. I’d be more critical but the only other option at the Delta Sky Lounge is Mich Ultra, so I guess I’m okay with a Blue Point.

12 oz can from Total Wine. Pours a crystal clear orange-bronze color with a small khaki head and fair retention. Almost no lacing. Pumpkin pie spices aroma. Smooth and sweet, with a nice mellow mix of pumpkin spices and light caramel that's complementary, not overbearing. Medium body with good carbonation. Not bitter. Repeatable.
