Description
Purchased by Tilray in 2022.
Our story started in 1998 with two friends who noticed a lack of fresh beer on Long Island and wanted to lower their bar tabs. We built a brewery on Long Island's South Shore in Patchogue, a tough and humble coastal town.
In 2014, Blue Point partnered with Anheuser-Busch, joining its family of craft brands in The High End business unit. Our operations, brewing and management team continue to be led from Patchogue, N.Y.
In 2019 we opened our new brewery on Patchogue's Main Street. This new facility will not only increase our brewing capacity, but will also lets beer lovers experience the people and place that inspire Blue Point every day. And we're pretty damn proud to be a part of that.

Notes from 12/30/16 On tap @ Cardiff Giant. Served in a short stange glass. Cloudy, orange body. Lingering, lacy head. Smell is soft coriander, dough, lemon, berry, and peppery yeast. Taste is very doughy and only mildly salty, & it's perfectly enough. A sour-ish fruity note is there, but I cannot say it is obviously beach plum. Just a generic sour plum/peach skin flavor, turning a little grapey. Lemon twang & a toasty finish follows through to the end. Unfiltered, potent yeast. Appreciative of the light hand taken to the style. Easy, yet a little too textured for me.

Amber color with a floral hop aroma. Taste is a crisp, slightly bitter ale with a nice blueberry flavor at the end.

Can @ Route 66 Smoke House (6/6/23). Pours dark brown with very faint red highlights, large spongy tan head, faint cocoa beans aroma, bitter spicy mocha taste with dark chocolate prominence, alcohol undertones, full body, long bitter chocolate finish. Almost like dark chocolate drops.
