Location: 6 pack of 12 oz bottles from a Morton Williams in NYC
Aroma: Citrus, caramel, grains
Appearance: Copper, clear, thin white head
Flavor: Grainy sweetness, a little caramel (stronger in the nose then the taste) and a citrus finish
Palate: Medium (tending toward light) body, nice smooth drink
Overall Impression: Overall this is a decent springtime beer (though it was pretty cold in NYC last week). I guess its grouped as a specialty grain due to the rye taste, but otherwise I thought the labeling of copper ale was pretty accurate. Nice offering, will save a few for warmer days, and see how they do in that environment.

On tap at the Mad Mex in Robinson. Nice and bubbly sparkling pale lager appearance. Not much detectable aroma. No bad olfactory on the nose. Interesting mild hop and new leather tastes. Barely any carbonation. Has a pleasant saison attitude about it. Decent well mannered finish, overall not bad!

on tap @Philly BeerFest III–pours a light tan head and amber color. Aroma is mild citrus hops, some medium malt. Taste is pine hops, some medium malt, some musty. OK carbonation.

Really nice copper color. Medium head that dissipates quickly. Nice balance between malt and hops. You can definitely detect the "toasted" flavor of the malts. Also noiceable are caramel undertones. Pretty darn tasty.

12oz bottle. Filtered amber-copper color. Nice head that fades away after a minute or two. I have no idea why this beer is listed as a specialty grain on RB. Pretty solid beer, relatively in the middle of the road flavor-wise. Some crisp hops completely balanced out by the toasty malt. Mouthfeel is almost too big for its britches, if you will. A little too heavy and thick, a rare criticism. Still has some nice caramel tones and hits the mark for the Copper Ale style, the semi undefined style that is.

Growler fill from the brewery - pours a slightly hazy reddish copper, with a thick ring of foam around the glass - very present rye in the nose, in fact, aside from some indistinct maltiness and fruity notes, that’s almost all I smell - I love rye, though, so I don’t mind at all - medium bodied, somewhat creamy in the mouth - strong rye starts things out, with moderate bitterness, but the beers gets really sweet, really fast - the rye remains there to balance things a bit - gets a little spicy and herbal near the finish, with a tea-like character - a little one-dimensional and overly sweet, but this is a decent beer for these guys.

12oz bottle-pours a rich tan head that reduces to a ring and copper/red color. Aroma is mild medium malt-toffee. Later as it warms, some fruit too. Tast is medium malt-toffee, secondary earthy hops. Towards medium body. Thanks to Joe-jwc215 for picking this out.

Bottle thanks to bu11zeye. Pours with a clear golden body and a wispy white head. Aroma of orange and orange zest, and a bit of grassy-ness. Taste is mainly citrus hops and fragrance with light malt. Lively carbonation.

Nice copper/orange coloured body with a small white head. Aroma of fresh hops, good malt, apricots and oranges. Medium-bodied; Strong hoppy flavour that lasts for quite a while with a good spicey finish and a malty taste throughout. Aftertaste shows hops and a good malt backbone. Overall, more of a stronger APA, but a decent beer overall. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased at Oliver’s Beverages in Albany, New York at the Eastern Shore of Virginia on 04-February-2006.
