Bottle picked up from Sulzberger Bierhaus Pfaffenhofen an der ilm and consumed at home Sunday 12th January 2025 listening to Lambrini Girls - Who Let The Dogs Out after helping Loz prepare a Beef in Red Wine meal. We did a wonderful Snowshoe hike near Dreisessel and Tri-border area yesterday. Pours amber with a little haze and a white head that rapidly departed, btw this is the Weihnachtsfestbier bottle. Easy drinking Festbier, light to no hoppiness detected, a bit of caramel. Not really much to write home about.

Unclear amber with a stable fluffy head. Very buttery and malty, some toffee and caramel, slightly zesty and citrusy. Malty sweetness, dry bitterness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft carbonated, dry malty buttery bittersweet finish. Very good Festbier!

As Weihnachtsfestbier. Clear amber colour, white foam. Light roasty, bready, notes of caramel, some fruity sweetness. Easy drinkable.

Hetzelsdorfer Bier - Märzen, Flasche (MHD: 28.12.) von Sagasser, Forchheim. - Kupferrot, klar; dürftige Schaumbildung. - Schon die Nase ist arg exzentrisch: sattes toastig-brotiges Malz mit feiner Bonbonsüße, überdeutliche marmeladensüße Frucht von leiser säuerlicher Herbe (Aprikose) und milde hopfenwürzige Hopfung, dazu butterig-ranzige Noten. - Antrunk kantig toastmalzig mit Kellerluft, abgestanden und steinig, schwacher Karamelsüße, bitteren Aprikosenkernen und derber, aromenleer bitterer Hopfung. Milder rezent, annähernd vollmundig. Im Abgang derbe, unkrautartige Bittere mit unangenehmen holzigen, metallischen und ranzigen Zügen. - Arg rustikales Landbier mit deutlichen geschmacklichen Mängeln, die zu gravierend sind, um als liebenswürdige Ecken und Kanten beschönigt werden zu können. Was ist mit dieser Brauerei los? So starke Qualitätsschwankungen trifft man nur selten an. (15.10.2024.)

Pours clear , fairly light copper, towards gold. medium small white, creamt head. Scent is outspoken, crunchy malts, caramel. Taste is smoothly bitter, crisp, caramel, darker breadyness. Tad sweet, quite lovely as a sessionable beer.

Light cloudy, amber colour, white foam. Bready, malty with light sweet fruity notes.

Amber with a frothy, white head. Grainy and herbal aroma. Taste is moderate bitter the whole way through. Milder at the end, with the mildly watery texture subduing the herbal bitterness. Faint lingering caramel. Simple. Refreshing. Good low alcohol alternative.

Amber with a thin, frothy white head. Aroma slightly herbal with hints of ashes and toffee. Taste is bittersweet with herbs and cacao on the tongue. Finishes the same with the bitterness taking the upper hand. Medium-bodied, mild carbonation, crisp, clean feel. Nice.
