Saturday 27th April 2024, Jolly Boys outing to Aberystwyth. Shared 440ml can on the train going, bought off the trolley. White head on a clean golden body. Citrus front with a piney center and bitter finish.

440ml can shared with Margie on the train from Shrewsbury to Ludlow on 23rd April 2024 (48 years to the day, since we met in 1976). Light golden body, full on white head. Nice enough Lager, semi-sweet malty front with a mini-citrus feel towards the finish.

Can at home. Pours a clear amber colour with a light beige head. Aroma of diacetyl, peaches, oatmeal cracker and some pine. Flavour of some diacetyl at first, and then grapefruit, dust, metal, weeds, dried fruit, grass and pine in a little dry ending. Has a slick and slightly soft mouth feel, medium body and a medium level bitterness. The diacetyl is very present, especially in the aroma. The flavour is a bit unbalanced. Okay.
