Can from Asda and drunk at home. Dark brown beer no real head. Some spice aroma. Some chocolate flavour definitely some spice. Spice on finish. Smooth in mouth. I mean o am not getting a lot toffee sticky or otherwise. Mostly dates spice and some chocolate. It's ok
Bit disappointing. OK but not as rich as I was hoping.

Pours dark brown/near black, nice looking beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, light coffee, slight dustiness. Taste follows, good bittersweet balance to it. Near medium bodied, drying. This is very good for £1.30 so will agree with Shoestring. May not be complex but its certainly tasty.

Light cloudy gold, nice consistant small white top. Aroma is dank leafy, pine, lime pith, pineapple. Taste is quite bitter with grapefruit, pine, leafiness, citrus pith. Medium bodied, soft carbonation but slightly cloying and dry. Overall this is very good value but the Velvet Stout and Hazy Pale are even better in my view.

Hazy orange gold, small consistant white top. Puncy aroma of citrus zest, flora, pineapple. Taste at first is a slightly muted version of what came through on the nose but afyer a while I also pick up hop spice, grapefuit and caramel. Light to medium, bodied, soft mouthfeel, semi-drying. For the price this is very good indeed.

Clear light gold with some residual foam on top. A slightly stale apple pith and skin aroma with white sugars. Taste has a bit of a cheap apple juice flavour to it, moderately sweet and tangy with a drying finish. Not great but I've had much worse. Possibly produced by Aston Manor - it has all the hallmarks.

Bottle. Pale clear yellow, thin bubbly top. Aroma is floral and fruity with the gooseberry, a little artificial sweetness running through. Taste is sugary sweet, tangy gooseberry and floral almost earthy elderflower. A bit cordial like. Not unpleasant but not great.

Clear gold, brief white fizzy top. Aroma of overripe apples, some funk, damp cardboard, sugars. Taste of tangy dessert apples which flows nicely into a more mellow apple note, some wood. Slightly artificial sweetness running through. Medium bodied, oily, light carbonation. Its quite nice.

440ml can from Asda, Darlington. Golden colour, white foam head that dissipates away and aroma of apple, musty, sugar, sulphur hint. Taste is sweet, appley, some skin and core, sugary, with citric acidity and just a hint of tannin. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, medium finish. OK

Can from Asda. Black body with a beige head that slowly fades. No visible carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of milk chocolate and coffee. Flavour of earth and coffee. Medium body with a smooth texture. Soft fizz. Straightforward and pretty good value.
