Can. Nose is caramel, sweet wafer, hint of marshmallow. Taste is caramel, wafer, catering chocolate, cola, slightly woody almost sour note in the finish.

Disjointed.

Can from Asda, Wycombe. Rich golden-yellow with a lasting fluffy white head - it definitely looks the part. Lots of bread and caramel, balanced with a little grassy bitterness that provides some crispness in the finish. I think that some people might find it a tad on the sweet side, but I thought it was very drinkable. Enjoyable stuff - and I'd expect nothing less from the ever decent Utopian.

Can from Asda Aberdeen Beach. It pours clear copper with a decent white head. The aroma is bitter - sweet, sappy, sticky, resinous, orange marmalade, grapefruit, toffee and some gummy candy. The taste is dry, bitter, sappy, oily, resinous, prickly pine, sweet toffee/caramel, grapefruit, orange, marmalade and muted alcohol presence with a bitter linger. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Not a huge amount of depth, but I like the bitter - sweet character to it.

Can that Dad picked up from Asda today and shared with dad, Monday 13th October 2925 after a very nice couple of hours in Stockport with Keef Mullin and son Carl. Pours hazy light/mid gold with small white head. Tropical fruit on the nose, some pineapple cubes and a little bit of mango perhaps. Flavour following a similar trajectory with the addition of a little stone fruit, so a touch of peach and unripe apricot. Solid well balanced DIPA, perhaps just a little bit safe but otherwise very pleasant.

Can picked up by dad from Asda and shared with my dad, Monday 13th October 2925 after a very nice couple of hours in Stockport with Keef Mullin and son Carl. Pours gold, actually warm gold edging towards orange with a white head. Light fruitiness on the nose, mostly sweet orange, alcohol is well hidden. Decent bittersweet balance, good mouthfeel.

Deadication beer to West Coast American born Jack LaLanne on this day in 1914, for this tasty west coast beer, which has lots of flavoursome sugars. As a fitness expert he probably wouldn't approve but I feel better for it. Has a lovely deeper golden appearance suitable to this style with fruit light, but evident in aroma and aftertaste. Very good for a supermarket commission.
