440ml can. Semi-hazed gold with modest white foam. Aroma is notably tropical with a subtly underripe pineapple and papaya and a cereal dustiness. Flavour of pineapple, apricot, papaya, pepper, light resin. Decent bitterness. Medium+ bodied, fine carbonation. Well balanced.

The other two Asda collab offerings I've tried so far have been below average fair but this one holds its own nicely.

Can from Asda. Pours a semi-hazed bright gold with big fluffy white head, moderate retention. Aroma has mild tropical pineapple and mango notes with cereal and grass. Taste of slightly tart mixed tropical fruit with orange zest, resin, grains and a bitter grassiness which verges on being acrid and catches at the back of the throat. Medium bodied, slightly chewy. Not too keen on this one - well below average for the style.

On the day I'm drinking this beer, 164 years ago the US State of Virginia seceded from the Union. In the Civil War that followed a dental practice evolved using dead soldiers teeth to make dentures. These were known as Tooth Claws. Tooth & Claw haven't provided Asda with a particularly great ale here. Acceptable, but dry and bland with a hoppy base, and a low level of sweet tropical fruit.

Deadication beer for today going to comedy mastermind Rik Mayall, born on this day, sadly missed. Tropical and stone fruit available, which does extremely well within this level of alcohol. Perhaps even a hint of milkshake in style.

Can from an Asda in Luton. Oh, that's very nice. Crazy rich hops and the mouthfeel from the oats. And alcohol that let's you know its there.

Can from Asda and drunk at home. Dark brown beer no real head. Some spice aroma. Some chocolate flavour definitely some spice. Spice on finish. Smooth in mouth. I mean o am not getting a lot toffee sticky or otherwise. Mostly dates spice and some chocolate. It's ok
Bit disappointing. OK but not as rich as I was hoping.

Pours dark brown/near black, nice looking beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, light coffee, slight dustiness. Taste follows, good bittersweet balance to it. Near medium bodied, drying. This is very good for £1.30 so will agree with Shoestring. May not be complex but its certainly tasty.

Hazy orange gold, small consistant white top. Puncy aroma of citrus zest, flora, pineapple. Taste at first is a slightly muted version of what came through on the nose but afyer a while I also pick up hop spice, grapefuit and caramel. Light to medium, bodied, soft mouthfeel, semi-drying. For the price this is very good indeed.

Light cloudy gold, nice consistant small white top. Aroma is dank leafy, pine, lime pith, pineapple. Taste is quite bitter with grapefruit, pine, leafiness, citrus pith. Medium bodied, soft carbonation but slightly cloying and dry. Overall this is very good value but the Velvet Stout and Hazy Pale are even better in my view.

Clear light gold with some residual foam on top. A slightly stale apple pith and skin aroma with white sugars. Taste has a bit of a cheap apple juice flavour to it, moderately sweet and tangy with a drying finish. Not great but I've had much worse. Possibly produced by Aston Manor - it has all the hallmarks.
