Can 1 pt. Courtesy of Doodler. Pours a cloudy golden with a rich and lacing white head. Sweet fruity nose, heavy on citrus and pine. Medium body, very soft mouthfeel, a little lowish in carbonation. A rather sweet but very fresh fruitiness, lovely citrusy hops with an almost herbal astringency. The bitterness actually doesn’t feel all that extreme. A lovely DIPA, but not sure it’s THAT much better than so many other beers of the same style. 270612

Can shared from Bierkoning. Pours a cloudy lumpy orange with an off white head. Gets a lot better with the massive hoppy aroma of citrus, grapefruit, peach and some light malt and caramel. Flavour is massively bitter upfront, quickly calming into a beautiful fruity hoppy balance with caramel, malt and medium bitterness. The finish is a long pine oily bitterness with alcohol warmth. Medium to full bodied with medium carbonation. Great beer!

Sample at the Central OH BA Tasting at From The Vine on 06/02/2012: Pours a dark orange-gold color with a medium white head that evaporates steadily. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of tropical fruits, herbal hops and malt. Medium body with a citrusy hops character and notes of pine and malt. The finish is hoppy with a lingering grapefruit aftertaste. Well-executed and tasty IIPA all around.

30/V/2012 - 1Pt. can @ home - BB: n/a, but less than two weeks old, if I can believe adamjackson (2012-557) Thanks to adamjackson for getting me the beer!

Cloudy orange beer, small fuzzy off-white head, little stable, non adhesive, some small yellow sediment setting at the sides of the glass. Aroma: very piny, lots of exotic fruits, pineapple, passion fruit and sweet mango, in the end a bit of paint. MF: soft carbon, full body, thick viscose texture (also in pouring). Taste: lots of sweet exotic fruits, mango, passion fruits, very piny bitterness laying on top of sweet malts, honey and flowery notes. Aftertaste: very piny, bitter, dry, grassy and grapefruit. Dangerously easy to drink.
