Handpull cask at the Loaded Dog, Leicester. Brown and a bit translucent with a scummy white head on top. Cloves and nutmeg compete with soy and balsamic vinegar in the aroma. Taste isn't good. The cloying spice is drowned out by a sourness. Not sure if it is the condition of the beer, or the beer itself. I suspect it is both but this is shamefully poor.

(From notes made in May 2016). Copper coloured pour with a beige head. Sultana and tangerine aroma. Heavy malt presence in the flavour with a splash of sweet fruit. Not bad.

Cask half-pint, hand-pulled in The Malthouse, Ironbridge Shropshire on 17th June 2018. Pours a clean golden colour, white crown on top. Nice enough blend with a slight malty front before a subtle hop bitterness takes over. Decent session ale I suppose, but I was on a mission, so moved on.

Cask (handpump) @ GBBF 2016, [ Great British Beer Festival 2016 ], London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX. [ As Arkells Hoperation IPA ].Clear medium orange colour with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, light caramel, light to moderate hoppy, citrus, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, frutiy malt, pale malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20160810] 6-3-7-3-13

500ml bottle (4.8% ABV): BB 12th Oct 2018. Poured into an Abbot Ale glass tankard at home on 20th Mar 2018. beige head on a clean and clear mahogany body. Matly brew with a toffee and caramel front in both the nose and taste. Some red fruitiness and a hop bitterness balance out the initial sweetness from the malty molasses to give a decent beer. My sweet tooth liked it a lot.

Clear pale golden colour, small frothy white head, half-way lasting, light lacing; a. Aroma sweet malts, grain, hay. Taste medium sweet and light bitter, malty, grainy. Light body, watery texture, soft carbonation, decent, refreshing lager, easy to drink.
