Description
It’s too easy to let life become predictable and settle for the ordinary. Luckily though, Orchard Pig is no ordinary cider. It all began in a Somerset shed, surrounded by the best West Country apple trees and free roaming Old Spot pigs. But, whilst every orchard has apples, not every orchard has Old Spot pigs. We believe our free-spirited attitude is the magic ingredient which makes every pint of Orchard Pig taste so refreshingly different to all the rest. Not your average apples, not your average pig. Orchard Pig. It’s a rare breed.

Bottle at the Cerise Bar, Reading. Yellow with a light sparkle. Sweet apple juice from the start but there’s definitely a hint of something a bit more real in this cider. There’s a whiff of smoke at the start, a definite touch of farmyard throughout and a little woody dryness at the end. But the sweetness is just a little too strong to be offset by these other tastes and it leaves your mouth rather sticky afterwards. There’s some decent flavour here though; it could be quite a decent cider if they took the edge off the sweetness and stickiness.
