Description
It’s too easy to let life become predictable and settle for the ordinary. Luckily though, Orchard Pig is no ordinary cider. It all began in a Somerset shed, surrounded by the best West Country apple trees and free roaming Old Spot pigs. But, whilst every orchard has apples, not every orchard has Old Spot pigs. We believe our free-spirited attitude is the magic ingredient which makes every pint of Orchard Pig taste so refreshingly different to all the rest. Not your average apples, not your average pig. Orchard Pig. It’s a rare breed.

Bag in a box at County Hotel Ashford JDW. first drink of the day after a hoolie yesterday so interested to see if my body still tolerates alcohol. Clear ribena colour a few pink bubbles. Some apple juice character with some blackcurrant ribena flavour. Not overly sweet. Fridge cold. It’s a drinkable alcopop.

Cask at the Red Squirrel taproom, Amersham, 09/07/16. Light haze on a pale yellow to orange pour with little in the way of a head. Nose is light ginger, straw, apple skins, faint spice, grain. Taste comprises apple peel, light smoke, faint chilli, grass, ginger, mango chutney. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, drying close. Ok novelty kind of a cider, fine in small doses but couldn’t take a lot on board.
