Bottle at home, thanks to Leighton for bagging this for me at the brewery, 14/10/13. Lightly hazed golden with a mahoosive forthy white head that retains well - looks the Saison bollocks does this chap ! Nose is lemon rind, grass, touch of soap, herbal, faint mint leaf. Taste comprises bitter lemon, grass, light spice, herbal notes, farmy, orange pith, tangy apricot, faint soap. Medium bodied, light spritzy carbonation befitting the style, lemon jam in the finish. Top draw saison !

Bought at the brewery and drunk at home. Hazy amber colour lasting off white head. Tangerine and grapefruit aroma. Very juicy fruity hops which I like a lot. Mmmm, very delicious. Wow if I didn’t know better I would say this is a Kernel pale ale and there is no higher praise than that. Soft in the mouth, some bitterness on the finish, good tangerine, mango, grapefruit finish. Really good. I love it. But surely an APA rather than a Golden Ale.

Opaque dark brown beer, good pale tan - cream coloured head. Palate is smooth but run through with minerally carbonation. Airy creamy malt, touch of coffee and yes, a trace of nuts. Whisper of hops. Semi dry finish. Well joined up and pretty drinkable.
