Hazy amber beer, good pale cream colour head. Smooth and mildly dry palate. Very fine carbonation. Smooth malts, some caramel and a trace of cream. Good bitterish floralness. Resinous orange and marmalade. A little pine. Whisper of lemon and tropical fruits but this an orange and marmalade dominated hop profile. Smooth finish. Bitter linger. Impressive, quite rich. But surely this an IPA not an American Strong.

Cask half-pint in my local Wetherspoons on 4th Sep 2015. Very pale golden pour, almost clear, but a slight haze was visible, on top a white, wispy top. Hoppy, wheaty and dry, in that order. Decent but no Water Melon in it for me: in fact does Water Melon really have an aroma and taste that is distinct? No is the answer!

Cask @ Dirty Dicks, Halifax. Golden with a thick creamy head. Has a smoothish session texture with a hoppy base. There’s a very light floralness in its nose and similar with a very light sweetness in its taste. Slips down the palate with ease.

Cask at the white lady. Pours clear pale yellow gold with a thin white head. Aromas of grassy hops, light buttery biscuit more. Taste is grassy, light astringency. Mineral, almost sulphurous finish.
