Description
Shiny was established in 2012, as a small scale operation, brewing in Derby mainly for its brew pub. Now based in the beautiful village of Little Eaton, just outside of Derby. The brewery is based in the centre of the village and has a taproom which features all Shiny’s new beers and one off pilots. Our beer story began with untraditional highly hopped cask beer and now has evolved into brewing a range of cask, keg and cans, the ethos is still the same brew beers we love to drink which means lots of hops! All beers are unfined and a good number of our core range is certified Gluten Free.

At Shiny Tap, Little Eaton, Derbyshire,, Monday 4th October 2021 with Dad and Pauline. Lots of vanilla, creamy, soft in the mouth, not usually a fan of these silly IPAs, however this is very nice, really full flavoured and a lot going on for the abv.

Clear yellow colour with thin head. Aroma has light tropical fruit, perhaps some mango. Flavour too. Some diacetyl which is not so nice for the mouthfeel but that's all gone in time for a fairly clean finish and dry aftertaste.

Cask pint @ The Abbey. Pours unclear chestnut brown, small off-white head. Aroma is nutty woody malt. Taste is twiggy, bitter, malty with no sweetness at all. Seemed like it was possibly on the turn. Not great at all.
