Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 27th September 2015, as "York Ale". Copper with a lasting off-white part-lacing foam. Solidly malty aroma with some cheesy hints. Rounded sweet fruits and malts in-mouth with a few leafy hops. A pungent, nutty kick. Nutty malts and herby hops in finish. Engaging texture and medium body.

Cask at CBC, Covent Garden on 27th September 2015. Pale, haxy amber with shallow declining foam and spot lacing. Richly hoppy aroma. Intense grapefruit hoppiness in-mouth with spiciness. A grapefruit finish quickly evolves to a lasting grassy bitterness. Plenty of body and a fine carbonation. Superb.

Draft at the Eebria taproom- Bermondsey. Pours rich black-brown with a frothy khaki head. Moderate roasted malt aroma with secondary notes of funky baby diapers and cocoa. Medium sweet flavor with bittersweet chocolate, more poo, bitter earth, tangy dark fruits. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes sweet with lightly oily chocolate, more roast, mellow tangy dark fruits, subtle poo, farm, raisins, burnt wood. This could become super funky in a little while, which might be interesting. At the moment, I do enjoy it.

Cask at the Rose & Crown, Sandhurst. An opaque black pour with a thin cream head; sweet vanilla raoma; rich smooth and grainy in the mouth with a vanilla taste; and a long dry toasty finish. Nicely balanced, the vanilla isn’t overpowering, giving the malts a chance to show through.

Cask at the Fountain. Pours very pale gold, thin white head. Aromas of light citrus, lemon and light orange. Taste is citrus bitter, quite thin, but not surprising given the strength and super-paleness. Clean finish.
