Cask at Cloisters. Pours clear pale gold, thin white head. Aromas are cereal grain, light citrus fruit. Taste is light lemon bitter, light pale malt. Clean finish.

Bottle at home. Pours hazy amber, nose is toffee, floral, taste is very sweet, not too bitter.

Very strange this, it's pale and hoppy but also sweet and maybe a little spicy. Taste buds very confused!

Cask @ Jacob’s Beer House, Bradford. Black with a very thin brown head. Strongish but it’s flavours are more noticeable with a robust and slightly burnt roasted malt flavour and aroma that’s a touch soapy in its texture and taste.

Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Blond with a small creamy head. Has a malt-hop aroma with a light dry hoppy taste.

Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Blonde with a small head. Easy drinking with a good malt-hop balance. There’s more of the latter with citrus fruits evident.

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell, London, 30 Nov 2014) Pale yellow colour with frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with peaches, bread and a touch of toffee. Fruity, malty taste with notes of peaches, white bread, a touch of wheat and a balanced citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Fresh and tasty. Quite nice.

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell, London, 30 Nov 2014) Amber colour with brief, frothy head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of citrus, orange and apricots. Malty, fruity taste with caramel, orange, apricots, tropical fruit and a balanced citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain malt sweetness. Tasty and balanced with a fresh hop character. Quite nice.

Malty, fruity taste with notes of citrus, peaches, bread, hay, a touch of wheat and a gentle grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with balanced sweetness. Fresh and tasty. Quite nice.

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell, London, 29 Nov 2014) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, spicy nose with notes of caramel, cinnamon, ginger and nutmeg. Malty, spicy taste with caramel, ginger, cinnamon, Christmas fruit-cake and a gentle spicy bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty, spicy and quite Christmasey, still quite well balanced. Nice one.
