Cask @ Jacob’s Beer House, Bradford. Black with a very thin brown head. Strongish but it’s flavours are more noticeable with a robust and slightly burnt roasted malt flavour and aroma that’s a touch soapy in its texture and taste.

Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Blonde with a small head. Easy drinking with a good malt-hop balance. There’s more of the latter with citrus fruits evident.

Fruity, malty taste with notes of peaches, white bread, a touch of wheat and a balanced citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Fresh and tasty. Quite nice.

Malty, fruity taste with caramel, orange, apricots, tropical fruit and a balanced citric bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a certain malt sweetness. Tasty and balanced with a fresh hop character. Quite nice.

Malty, spicy taste with caramel, ginger, cinnamon, Christmas fruit-cake and a gentle spicy bitterness. Medium body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty, spicy and quite Christmasey, still quite well balanced. Nice one.
