Graity dispense at Craft 100, CBC Clapham, 03/04/14 as ’York Ale’. Hazed amber with a moderate off white swirl and spotting. Nose is fruit rind, earthy hop notes, candied orange peel, light sprice, bready pangs. Taste comprises light biscuit, bitter fruits, apple skin, dry citric rinds. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close. Ok bitter.

50cl bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - golden/amber with a thin head. Nose - toffee, biscuits and some earthiness. Taste - toffee, biscuits and a little spice. Palate - medium bodied with a long bitter finish. Overall - thin for an ESB but pleasant enough.

500ml bottle from somewhere in Halifax. Pours clear amber, no real head. Aromas of dried fruit, fuggles earthy spice. Taste is sweet, light herbal bitterness. Sweet finish, bit disappointing,

(Cask at Craft Clapham, London, 12 Apr 2014) Pale amber colour with creamy, off-white head. Malty, fruity nose with apricots, citrus and a soft malt character. Malty, fruity taste with notes of citrus, apricots, dried fruit, soft and chewy malt and a balanced citric bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Fresh and tasty. Quite nice.

(Cask at Craft Clapham, London, 12 Apr 2014) Dark brown colour with hints of ruby. Foamy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of coffee, dark chocolate and pine needles. Malty, roasted taste with coffee, roasted malt, black rye bread, pine needles and a balanced piney bitterness in the finish. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and well balanced black IPA. Nice one.

Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Golden-amber, not much of a head. Has a sweet fruit character more apparent in taste than nose.

Cask gravity at Planet Thanet BF 2014. Dark brown beer collar of tan bubbles. Chocolate and hop aroma. Pretty good. Some grapefruit. Some good hop on the quite dry finish. Pretty good. Needs better condition. Ok

Cask (Pleased To Meet You, Newcastle) - Dark brown with orangey tinges. Raisins, cocoa and blackcurrant are in the aroma. Malty, fruity and slightly chocolatey taste with raisins, caramel and cocoa detected.

Cask (Central, Gateshead) - Golden with a small white head. Lemon and gooseberries in the aroma. Moderately hoppy taste with lemon, tea and grapefruit standing out.

Cask (Newcastle Beer Festival 2014) - Dark brown with some red tinges. Pine and liquorice are in the aroma. Liquorice, fudge and some soapy hops are in the taste.
