Cask at Buckingham Arms, London SW1. An amber coloured pour with a small white head on top. Hardly any aroma to speak of. Tastes vaguely hoppy, malty, fruity. Thin, bland and dreadful. My god, British beer really needs to up its game.

[Cask at Milton Keynes Beer Festival 2011] Dark amber, loose white head, very sulphurous with green leafy hops and vanilla. After initially hating it, I upped my mark a little whilst drinking it, but still found it unpleasant.

Cask at the Wallington 2011 Beer Festival. It pours very dark brown, with a decent beige head. The nose is chocolate, caramel, roasted malt and light smoke. The taste is caramel, toffee, cardboard, cola, chocolate, dark fruit, wood and light smoke, with a big dry finish. Thin to medium body and soft carbonation. Not bad.
