Description
Wild Card Brewery was founded in 2012 at the Ravenswood Industrial Estate Walthamstow.
We brewed Mon-Fri and come the weekend, we would open the brewery doors and serve up our beers. With support from the local community our shed became one of Walthamstow's best loved bars, hosting beer festivals, tap takeovers and live music.
Meanwhile, in the brewery, Jaega was working away, tweaking old recipes and coming up with new ones. By 2017 she had 2 award winning beers under her belt and was struggling to make enough beer to keep up with demand - we were going to need a bigger brewery. So in 2017, we started a crowdfunding campaign to help us move the brewery to a bigger site.
In 2018 the brewery moved over to Lockwood Way, where we have doubled capacity - which means lots of Wild Card beer for all.
Wild Card Brewery now has two tap rooms in Walthamstow, and our beer is available in pubs, bars, restaurants and supermarkets across the UK.

Cask, shared with Finn at The Famous Royal Navy Volunteer. Clear yellow in body appearance. Missing head, no lace. Restrained pale malts and minerals on the nose. Modest taste profile of ripe lemon and grainy malts. Drying endnotes. Possible to drink, rather anonymous though. (Bristol 29.04.2017).

Can shared at Cotts Convention 2017. It pours cloudy yellow with a medium white head. The aroma is soft, mellow, sweet rhubarb, fruit sourness, bread, floral notes and cracker. The taste is smooth, mellow, limited bitterness, straw, bread, rhubarb, fruit yoghurt, a touch floral and lemon rind. Finish is dry light - medium body and moderate. Soft and easy drinking. Alright.

Keg at Crown Bar. It pours cloud golden with a big fluffy white head. The aroma is bread, cereal, honeyed grain, earth, sweet raspberry and a touch of jam. The taste is dry, bitter, floral, soapy, soft raspberry, hint of citrus rind, wax, wheat, spice and bread with a dry finish. Light - medium body, moderate carbonation and foamy mouth feel. Raspberry is fairly subtle and we’ll integrated. Well rounded and rather quaffable.

Keg at Cronx Bar. It pours hazy orange with a small bubbly white head. The aroma is soft, fresh, orange, tangerine, apricot, piss and muffin. The taste is pretty bitter upfront, pithy orange, kumquat, tangerine rind, pissy hops, spice, straw, mild astringency with a drying finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Could be done with a bit more carbonation perhaps, but overall it’s not bad.
