(Can) Pours clear brown with big white head. Not much aroma - a bit of caramel and hints of sawdust. Light bodied and rather fizzy. Foretaste is quite pleasant toffee malt but collapses to watery in mid palate. Very little bitterness. Easy drinking. (Blind tasting) ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

4 cans for £1, big thanks to Sarky at the 2016 Cotteridge Convention. It pours clear rich amber –brown with a thick white head. The aroma is soft, brown bread, earth, cereal and really not much else. The taste is crisp, soft, low bitterness, brown bread, cereal, wood and dull caramel sweetness. Light body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Inoffensive and well-priced. There are much worse beverages out there.

Can shared at the Cotteridge Convention - 2016 edition. Huge thanks to this rare Morrisons scoop. Pours perfectly clear gold with a supple, creamy topping. Very light dried malts in the nose, with whispers of leaves. Light sweet flavour with hints of biscuity pale malts, grains, bitter straw. Light bodied with average carbonation. Faintly sweet on the finish, with lightly toasted grains, biscuits. Drinkable stuff, I suppose. It’s basically carbonated water with just an accent of beer.

Cotteridge 2 tasting. Brown bitter lasting beige head. It’s not terrible. It’s a fairly decent brown malt bitter. Some sting on finish. OK .

Bottle from Morrisons and drunk at home; Amber colouor unsurprisingly. Some malt, some sweet biscuit. Light biscuit. Quite light in flavour. Light hops on the finish with light bitterness. Hops are English style bitter. Not much to get excited by and not much to take offense with. Fine if unexciting.
