Description
Located on the Oregon Coast, de Garde Brewing is dedicated to unique offerings. Our craft draws on historic traditions and local experimentation.

But wait... what does that mean?

First off, we do not add laboratory cultured yeast to ferment our beer. We simply cool the wort naturally in a coolship. Amazing yeast & microflora are all around us! That's why we're in Tillamook!

After the wort cools, we transfer everything to oak barrels (some big, some small, some medium). Each beer takes it's own time in barrels to finish fermenting.

Most of our beers take anywhere from 6 months to 5+ years in barrels before we package them.

Every bottle is naturally conditioned and ready to be enjoyed when we release it. Although the beer can age, please note the fruit and hop additions will dissipate with extended time.

But most importantly, we hope you enjoy!
Cheers!

Spritzy fizzy reddish rose colored pour. Nose is sweet with lots of cherry (obviously). The mouthfeel is super interesting. Lots of cherry. too sour for me though but mostly, I just don’t like berliners. Still, an interesting beer.

750mL bottle, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma has that strange de Garde funk, earthy notes, and light hops. Flavour is bizarre, with earthy notes, weird funk, a little peach, and some dirty notes. Very strange, with some funky off-notes. Not overly pleasant.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy golden orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out blue cheese notes to the max, and a touch of funk. Flavour is along the same lines, with funky blue cheese dominating. Very interesting notes. Nice stuff.

750mL bottle, pours a very faded yellow with a small white head. Aroma is very potent on the kiwis, with a nice sharpness. Flavour is sharp, with citric notes, kiwi, and dry tartness. Very dry, mildly tart and sharp. Very nice, though I slightly prefer the Apricot Bu.

750mL bottle, pours an opaque solid pale yellow with an orange tint and a small white head. Nose brings out fresh apricots - man that's nice. Flavour brings out loads of dry apricots, moderate tartness, and more apricots. Very dry, puckering and moderately tart, with a punch of apricots. A pleasure to drink. One of the best by De Garde.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out merlot, red grape skins, and some acidity. Flavour is high on the acidity, with musty grape skins, oak, red wine and lots of acetic notes. Too much acidity and crazy grapes - makes this a little bit difficult drinking. Decent, but not my thing.

Received in a trade. Stored upright for about 6 weeks. Split the 750 5-ways which was a mistake

A - Really nice golden clarity, fluffy head that faded semi-quick to a light thin ring.

S - t. Lots of spice and peppercorn and Indian food spice with mushrooms Brett. Very interesting.

T - Loads of rose petal floral tastes. Spicy up front, honey and lime finish. Oily and coats the tongue with a fleeting lime only remainder when it’s gone. I get a little bit of apple and persimmon.

M - Nice dry mouthfeel at the finish but not as crisp as I was hoping. A bit too oily

O - This is still a fantastic saison! Really clean, lovely enjoyable. Classified here as a wild ale which is fine but has a lot of saison character.
