Description
We were born in 2004 on the seashore of Rome thanks to the love (and passion) for beer made with artisanal methods of our founders, Elio Miceli and Massimo Salvatori, who produced raw beer without any treatment at their Brew Pub located in Ostia on the Roman coast, right in front of the sea.
Then in 2005 thanks to the skills achieved, the experience gained, but above all thanks to the meeting with the master brewer Ioan Bratuleanu, we began to broaden our range of action by increasing and diversifying production. The great demand of our beers led us in 2010 to the opening of our plant in Fiumicino, a few kilometers from Ostia, effectively inserting us into the market of producers of craft beers with our brands Birradamare and Birra Roma.
In July 2017 Birradamare became part of the international Molson Coors group.

Flaske 0,33l spandert av Rune og delt med ham under rateseanse hos ham 20 Sep 12. LOT 416. Svart. Høyt luftig skum med litt farge. Litt skum fester seg til glasset. Forsiktig røykaroma. Smaken dempet. Litt frukt. Svakt syrlig ettersmak. Pluss for flaskedesignet.

330ml in a nice designed bottle, lotto 411, bought at Vinmonopolet Valkendorf in Bergen. Hazy, apricot coloured body. Remaining off-white head. Grassy hops in flavour alongside hints of smoked malts. Quite well blended malt-fruity taste, hints of smoke and bread. Smooth mid-sweet ending. Soft in the mouth. Medium bodied. Interesting (hotel room, 18.09.2012).

Nice designed 330ml bottle, lotto 420, picked up at Vinmonopolet Valkendorf. Wispy and bubbly white head, some of it remaining. Unclear, golden coloured body. Fresh fruity smell with emphasis on peaches. Slightly spiced, grain-fruity taste, notes of apples and wheat. Modestly dry bitter ending. Lager-weissen impression with some interests (hotel room, Bergen 17.09.2012).

330 ml bottle. Hazy golden body with a huge gushing tan head. Mild aroma of spices, fruity yeast and white sugar. Flavor is rather sweet, like white sugar, light malty and fruity yeast. Medium body with a short aftertaste that brings some bitterness to this beer. Drinkable but not very pilsner like and frankly quite boring.

Total Wine, Fairfax 500ml ($5): Pours black with tan head. Aroma is heavily chocolate and coffee. Taste is much the same. It be nice and bitter. Roasted malts are pretty powerful in this one. Body is a little light, but way more substantial than that of other beers of this style. Very drinkable. Minor aftertaste. Quite good.

Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks troubles. Dark amber-brown with a small head. Aroma of malt, caramel, some oxidation and a bit of dark fruits. Sweet malty flavor with caramel, dark fruits, a bit of chocolate, oxidation notes and a drier finish. Medium-bodied. So-so.

Bottle sample at a tasting at kerenmk’s place. Thanks troubles. Hazy golden. Fruity aroma with yeast, some hops and a bit of spiciness. Rather dry flavor with fruits, yeast and a moderately bitter finish with a bit of hops and light citrus notes. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Not bad.

Gusher. Smallish beige head. Hazy reddish amber body. Roasty malty licorice aroma with earthy syrupy red fruit notes. Dry-sweet roasty caramelly malt taste with earthy fruity notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, powdery mouthfeel. Dry roasty fruity honey aftertaste with caramelly wooden notes. Long lingering roasty syrupy finish. Really, really nice. Very clear and vivid flavours, and excellent harmony. (0.33l bottle, wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)

Bottle. A gusher, producing a, dense, off-white head over an unclear, golden body. Fruity, lightly yeasty aroma with some white sugar. Peaches and orange. The flavour is pleasantly bitter, it’s dry on the palate, and nicely carbonated. White sugar, some yeast and coriander and a generic fruitiness too. Fruity and bitter finish. A decent one, but nothing impressive. 120908
