Draught. This is an ugly beer. No head, spoiled beet juice appearance. Pleasant date and plum aroma with a fresh note. Nice body, date, plum currant and a little pepper. Fruity finish. Looks are deceiving.

Bottle. Pours cloudy rusty brown with thin fast dissipating head. Moderate lacing. Hoppy aroma, wmore than you would expect from an alt, with a bit of oat. Citrus in the light to medium body, with caramel notes. Finish is hop, with a nice malt cover.

Bottle. Pours with a hazed brown body and a small, off-white head. Aromas are very peppery and spicy (oak and alcohol), rye, bourbon, peanut shells. Plenty of alcohol and a light caramelized maltiness. Heavy on the barrel. Flavors are spicy oak, boozy. Quite dry, light caramel and dark fruits. Not very bitter but incredibly spicy and a bit tannic. Medium bubbles and very warming.

On tap at Brouwer's Cafe for Hopfest, pours a bright orange with a small head. Aroma of candied fruits, buttery, piney hops and caramel. Flavour is very piney, and not much balanced by the malts. Lots of piney depth to this one. Excellent.

22 oz. bottle, split with Matts_Property, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of mainly espresso and some bitter roasted malt. Flavour is more sweet than the nose suggests, with espresso, balanced by sweetened chocolate. Very light body for a stout, with light-to-medium complexity. Solid.

Pours hazy muddy copper – brown with thin white head. The aroma has wood like notes, booze, spicy wood, maybe some spicy rye too and a nice sweet earthy fig like sensation. The taste is yummy with a big load of blunted pine hops followed by a bit of citrus and then molasses, wood and some vanilla. It comes across boozy too but right to style. Yummy and it comes together very well.
