GIVING GOOD BEER A BAD NAME
We have survived, against the odds, since 2006, when a peculiar moment of inspiration persuaded me that people would be happy to buy a beer named Cat Piss.
Well, it just goes to show, people will buy anything.

500ml bottle from Chuckling Cheese, Doncaster. Pink colour, short-lived white foam head and aroma of strawberry jam. Taste is sweet, strawberry flavouring, jammy, candy, with some underlying apple & vinegary funky hints. Syrupy mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, sweet strawberry finish. OK , too sweet for me.

Taste is tart, apple, fleshy, with vinegary hint, rubberyle athery barnyard funk, and woody, earthy drying tannins. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry tannic finish. Quite drinkable.

2/2/2019. Bottle from Chuckling Cheese, Skegness. Pours pale amber with a small short-lasting off-white head. Aroma of malt, hops, toffee, fruit and pine. Sweetness start off quite heavy but is overtaken by a metallic, alcoholic bitterness. Medium body, oily/sticky texture, soft carbonation. Bitter, piney, alcohol finish. Struggled to enjoy this one.

19/1/2019. Bottle from Chuckling Cheese, Skegness shared at the 2nd Kesgrave 50/50. Pours dark brown with a small off-white to beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, fruit and toffee. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Slight fizz to finish otherwise good and much better than had been expected for a 'gimmick' beer.
