500ml bottle from the brewery online shop. Terrible label, definitely a theme with these guys. Pours clear gold, short-lived white head. Aromas of lemon and butterscotch, soapy, pale malt. Taste is sweet, shandy edge. Sticky finish. Not great. Bull shit by name...

Bottle courtesy of Baz (cheers Baz!) consumed at Isobels, Eardisley, Herefordshire Tuesday 31st December 2013 (New Years Eve) Pours dark gold, good clarity, no head. Fruity with some sourness on nose, in mouth this is far too sweet, tastes a little industrial and certainly in the alcopop territory. Unlike the previous two from Direct Beers that we’ve had tonight there is very little going for this one. A4 A4 T3 P2 Ov6 1.9

Fruity and with a goodly tang, a light nutty edge, tastes ok, like an ESB really, hadn’t realised this was a brown beer. It fine. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Opaque dark brown beer, small suddy off white head. Light semi dry palate. Light touch of dark malt - a little tangy. Semi dry finish. Okay drinkable very light stout.

Clear brown beer, small off white head. Crisp palate, semi dry. Minerally mild dark malt but nice and tangy. Trace of red fruit in there and a bare whisper of smoke. Semi dry finish. Well well! This brewer can brew a decent beer. It’s a very light porter but goes down easy and has a simple charm.

Slightly hazy gold beer, little white head. Crisp palate, semi dry. Somewhat odd powdery pale malt (I’m sure this brewer has a problem the way they use malt in general) but at least it’s not soapy! A little citrus and a dry crisp finish. Dull but not offensive.

Hazy amber beer, tiny white head. Dry palate. Odd malt - slightly soapy. Trace of orange hop with insipid bitterness. Dry finish with a skewed bitterish aftertaste. Poor!
