Description
GIVING GOOD BEER A BAD NAME

We have survived, against the odds, since 2006, when a peculiar moment of inspiration persuaded me that people would be happy to buy a beer named Cat Piss.

Well, it just goes to show, people will buy anything.

500ml bottle. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a thin, off-white head. The aroma is red berry fruits, light caramel. The flavour is moderate sweet, light liquorice bitter, with a smooth, slightly watery, earthy, herbal, light hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

500ml bottle. Poured a clear, dark amber colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, nutty, earthy. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a smooth, malt, earthy, herbal, woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. A decent example of the style.

500ml bottle. Best before 11/26 and this was purchased a year ago. Poured a clear golden colour with a short-lived, frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light buttery yeast. The flavour is moderate bitter, with a crisp, malt, yeasty, mineral, light citrus, woody hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Not bad actually. Much better than I expected.

Possibly a little unfair to rate this as it’s been in the garage stash for many many years! Pours dark brown with a small frothy off-white head, and a sweet malt and toffee aroma. Relatively thin mouthfeel and a sweet toffee flavour with a hint of bitterness

500ml bottle from Chuckling Cheese, Doncaster. Pale golden colour, fizzy white foam head that rapidly dissipates away and aroma of floral elderflower, some straw. Taste is sweet, elderflower, with oxidised cardboardy & biscuity notes. Medium bodied, spritzy carbonation, carboardy & biscuit finish. Not the best.
