Sample courtesy Grumbo. Nice head with good duration. Color is close to black. Aroma and taste are roast malt, vanillia, little fruits, caramel, coffee and licorice. Nice roasty finish.

2/11/2019. Bottle from Vittles and Company, Hull. Pours almost black with a large foamy tan coloured head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malt, vanilla, dark fruit, coffee, liquorice and ash. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium to full body, oily slick texture, average carbonation. Sweet roasty finish. Decent.

2/11/2019. Bottle from Vittles & Company, Hull. Pours black with a foamy tan coloured head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roasted malt, coffee and ash. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, fizzy carbonation. Nice roasty finish but way too fizzy.

1/8/2019. Bottle from Vittles and Company, Hull. Pours clear bright golden with an average size just off- white head. Aroma of sweet malt, hops, citrus, flowers and hay. Medium sweetness and light bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture and soft carbonation. Quite pleasant.

330ml bottle [courtesy of Grumbo - thanks a lot!]. Jet black colour with small, frothy to creamy, fading, tan head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty aroma, hints of coffee, coffee surrogate, dark bread, burnt bread. Taste is bitter, roasty dark malty, minimally metallic, hints of coffee, burnt coffee, dark chocolate, burnt bread. Not overly flattering.

Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, sweet malt, sulfur - UK yeast, fruity yeast. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, sweet malt, pale malt, caramel, light floral. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20190419] 5-3-5-3-10

Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, dark malt, chocolate, leather, sweet malt. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, dark malt, chocolate, chocolate - coffee, light leather - funk. 18/5/2019. Bottle from Vittles & Company Hull, shared at the Warsaw GP beer share. Pours very dark brown with a medium sized bubbly beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, coffee, ash and fruit. Moderate sweetness, medium roasted bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, bit above average carbonation. Chocolate finish. Quite decent except for being a bit too carbonated.
