Half-pint hand-pulled cask at the Wellington, Birmingham on 17th Sep 2014. Why would a bloke ask for a beer called ’twinkle toes’? Well I did because I knew it was going to be the first beer of a long and heavy session. Light golden amber with a thin white head that surprisingly produced some good lacing. The aroma and taste were subdued or if you wish ’delicate’ (hate to tread on anyone’s toes). equal non event of hops and malts with weak hints of citrus fruits and light maltiness.

Cask at Craft Beer Co, Covent Garden on 6th September 2014. Orangy amber with rapidly thinning white lacing foam. Mildly hoppy with yeastiness. Sweet malts and mild hops in-mouth, and a touch of bitterness late. Finish is sweet around the mouth and bitter on the tongue. If anything, a little cold, as flavour profile only developed as beer warmed up. Smooth somewhat watery mouthfeel.

Cask at the Wellington; golden amber pour with a thin bubbly head, lemon aroma, taste has light citrus, grapefruit, sweet pale malts, lingering bitter finish.

Cask at the Wellington; clear golden yellow pour with a thin buy white head, not much going on in the aroma, taste has light lemon, feint malt, not much going on at all in this.

Cask @ The Works, Sowerby Bridge. Very dark with a heavy roasted malt aroma as well as a striking roasted malt taste despite a thinnish texture.

Cask @ Fox & Goose, Hebden Bridge. Golden with a small head. Has a malt-hop character which is well-balanced and crisp, but not too exciting.

Sampled @ GBBF. Clear yellow color, average sized white head. Lightly malts, lightly hops, a fruity touch of mandarins, decently bitter. Average body and carbonation. Not bad.

Cask at the 2014 GBBF. Golden coloured pour with halo of white head. Aroma is nice fresh English hedgerow berry hop and light biscuit. Flavour is grainy straw and hedgerow berry hop. Palate is light with lowish carbonation. Pretty drinkable.
