The award-winning Salamander beers was founded in 1999. Dr Daniel Gent (a doctor of brewing and one of Salamander's founders) mission was to bring high quality independently brewed beer to the masses. To this day Salamander continues to surprise and delight its many customers.
And we haven’t lost our touch for beer either.
Brewing ceased in early 2019 and restarted in late Summer 2021.

Hand-pulled pint on 23rd January 2025. Railway Tavern, Newport Shropshire, while waiting for Margie and her hair do! Lovely looking beer, clean and clear golden amber body, snow white crown that stayed around. This is just a pleasant blend of bittering hops and semi-sweet malts, the hops winning the battle aroma and taste wise.

A penultimate beer in a local micropub for 2024. Has a fairly dominant pale ale texture and taste with its cherry sort of invading. It's evident enough and a tad bready here.

Keighley & Worth Valley Railway Beer Festival 2024. Golden ale with its orange fruit light but dominant enough in this instance.

Cask @ Barum Top Inn, Halifax. Dark ale with a light head. Dark malty, never really reaching stout heights despite this label. Good but blandish.

Cask at the Wellington, Birmingham on 13th December 2024. Golden amber with shallow white foam and partial lacing. Sweet malty aroma. Sweet, overripe fruits in-mouth with a sharp TCP line, lasting into a sharply pungent finish. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel. Odd.
