Taste is very sweet, a bit too sweet, brown sugar, toffee, some dried fruits, apple, spice, light toasted bread, yeast, sweet finish, light spicy bitterness. Hazy, amber-golden colored, medium white frothy head. Aroma is of brewing sugar, bit caramel, fruity, grape, bit spice and yeast, some alcohol. Taste is medium+ sweet brewing sugar and caramel, fruits, grape, medium spicey aroma, coriander, some yeast, light+ spicy bitterness, dryish finish, bit alcohol. Hazy, dark brown with red hue, small beige head. Aroma is of caramel, sugary, fruits, green apple, some spice. Taste is very sweet sugar and caramel, very light roast, lots of apple peel, fruity esters, some spice and yeast, bit bready finish, some light herbal bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bit sticky. Very cloying with a sweet sticky aftertaste. (bottle, Bierhalle Deconinck, Vichte)

Bottle from Saveur. Pours dark, hazy brown with off white head. Aroma of figs, caramel. dark fruits and malt. Sweetish taste of figs, dates, caramel and brown sugar. Sweetish finish. Nicely balanced.

F: not, very big, white, quick gone. C: dark amber, a little hazy. A: malty, toffee, fruity, buttery, caramel, candy, yeast, alcohol. T: malty, caramel, butterscotch, spicy, yeasty, dried fruits, marzipan, vanilla, hint of coffee, full body, lower carbonation, warming alcohol, very good, 0,33l bottle from Beer Mania in Brussels.

33 cl bottle at Lágrimas Negras (Madrid), served in Bourgogne wine glass. Before I start, let me posit that although this beer is here stated as a Belgian strong ale and by the brewer as an imperial tripel, I can assure it is a monument of a quadrupel: dark brown, with loads of tertiary aromas; silky, sweetish, powerful (10%), without bitterness... That said, let’s taste it. Pours reddish brown, deep and hazy, with a heavy tan head. Intense aromas of chocolate, red berries, tobacco, river pebbles, coffee and honey. In the mouth it feels creamy, soft and sweet. It develops a powerful and fresh taste, peaking on a very long finish with no bitterness whatsoever. Fantastic.

2007 Bottle shared at Kulminator. Dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of dark fruits, caramel, toffee, sweet malt and light perfume notes. Flavour is heavy sweet. Above medium bodied with soft carbonation.
