Pours a clean golden-amber colour with a small cap with decent lacing. Spicy hop nose over smooth caramel malts. Hints of butterscotch as well. The hops in the taste are even spicier with the light grain lingering. The grassiness is nicely balanced. Crisp and dry mouthfeel. Kind of reminds me of the flavours of a Steam Whistle, but stronger as an ale and bolder hops as an IPA. I quite approve.

Enjoyed at Meow! That's Hot. Pours a slightly hazy, light-golden, with a small cap and minimal lacing. Very yeasty nose like wet fermented socks, with the lemon juice helping a little. The taste is better with the yeast being a little toned down and the lemon notes, a little stronger. The mouthfeel is crisp and refreshing at least. Still, there are much better radlers out there.

A lightly hazed golden wheat ale with a thick frothy white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light buttery notes, light soapy notes, diacetyl. In mouth, sweet mix of caramel, butter popcorn, diacetyl and light berries, plain bad. On tap at Bowmans.

Nitro Keg at Brothers Beer Bistro, Ottawa. Clear amber, rich creamy head. Bready caramel aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and creamy mouthfeel. Caramelly and a bit husky. Mild spicy hops lead to a mid bitter finish.

Nitro version at the Loon. Pours a mildly hazy golden-amber colour with a creamy warm cap, everlasting with great lacing. Grainy malts aromas with caramel notes and nice fruitiness. The hops show up a little bit more in the taste with some nice fruity and caramel malts. A pretty good nitro bitter ale.

Draft: Poured a clear burgundy color ale with a small foamy head. Aroma of grainy malt notes with light dry hoppy notes. Taste is also a mix of grainy malt notes with some dry hoppy notes. Body is light with OK carbonation. Not really great with weird grainy malt notes.

Goes by 40cc at the Loon. Pours a very light hazy, light-golden colour with a creamy white nitro head and decent lacing. Cereal malt scent, mild sweetness with hints of fruitiness. Creamy oily mouthfeel. Malty fruit taste with nice smooth hops in the finish. Good refreshing cream ale that I would have again.

Sampled at Brother’s Beer Bistro. Pours a dark brown colour with a beige-mocha coloured creamy head, good retention and creamy full lace. Aromas of chocolate malts, berries, roasted malts and coffee. The mouthfeel is nicely dry, but still refreshing. Interesting black IPA that I am surprised coming from Ashton. A step up from their game, as I like this brewery, but usually plays a safe bet. This is wild for them :P

Had a few times at Quinn’s. Pours a hazy amber colour with a small off-white head and a little lacing. Grassy mild hops with sweet malts and floral notes for the nose. Also in taste are the floral notes but not really sweet. More grassy with hints of berries. Dry finish mouthfeel. Pretty nice West Coast IPA that I could have anytime.
