Enjoyed at Quinn’s Ale house. Pours a clean golden colour with a great 2mm coating on top of the brew (almost creamy), staying the whole time. Quite nice ! Fresh farm hay scent that is quite mild. The mouthfeel is a little creamy, medium-bodied. Nicely balanced between cereal grain and fresh farm cream. Wow ! This is a light beer ?? Very well-brewed then. Seems like a regular session ale to me.

Enjoyed at Quinn’s Ale house with PaleAleRider. Pours a hazy golden-amber colour with a white head and not much lacing. Smells like cider at first, with fresh red apples. Eventually, blueberries come out in the aromas. Definitely does not taste like cider though. The blueberries are very subtle, adding a bit of sweetness. A nice grainy finish then comes along. Pretty refreshing for this humid hot weather we are having presently. Recommended to whom does not like too much fruit in their fruit beers. Gets much better as it warms up.

Sampled at Quinn’s Ale House in Ottawa, Ontario. This one was brand new, I was told last Saturday (seasonal). Pours a dark colour with red highlights. This vanilla stout has a nice beige head that is creamy, stays a long time and even coats the brew with a 3mm topping. The lacing is minimal. Beautiful vanilla scent that is well-blended with roasted malts and hints of butterscotch. Nuts do come out eventually. The mouthfeel is kind of watery, not as creamy as I wish it was. Taste of vanilla beans smoothness with some nice bitterness that comes out in the finish. Notes of coffee and roasted malts lingers. I quite enjoyed this brew and was glad to be one of the first ones to try it. Refreshing and easy to drink for a stout.

Sampled at Quinn’s Ale House in Ottawa, Ontario. Pours a slightly hazy copper colour with a small white head. Not much nose... just a bit of malt. As it warms up, it does get better with notes of sweetness and nuts. A little later, I get plum and butterscotch. Medium-bodied with a slight sticky mouthfeel. Thankfully the taste is better than the smell. Flavours of sweetness, mild raisins, nuts, with light bitterness creating a dry finish. Decent brown ale that starts off too mild, but shows character if you show patience.

Mild sweetness at first and then, mild bitterness for the finish. Refreshing amber ale with a little more taste than standard ones of this style.

Sampled at Quinn’s Ale House in Ottawa, Ontario. Pours a golden-amber colour with a small white cap. Big grainy aromas and kind of fruity. Hints of scents from a farm (sounds worst than it is) and sometimes, hints of fresh milk (again, the farm). Seems to change a lot. The mouthfeel is smooth. Grainy taste with a little burnt wood and a touch of wet hay and vegetables. Quite unique, and the smoke lingers in the aftertaste. A special cream ale that seems to be brewed fresh... on the farm.

A deep dark stout with a thick Nitro mocha head. In aroma, a nice roasted coffee with nice vanilla notes, light butterscotch notes. In mouth, a nice smooth bitter chocolate with light vanilla notes, a bit of woody notes, very nice. On tap at Patty’s, March 3 2012.

A reddish amber ale with a thin off white head. in aroma, a caramel malt with light grassy hops, with berry notes and some light off aromas. In mouth, a sweet nutty malt with butterscotch, with solvent notes, and Light British hops. On tap at Patty’s, Dec. 10 2011.

A dark reddish copper brown ale with a thin creamy off white head. In aroma, sweet butterscotch, more buttery than scotch, with nutty and herbal notes. In mouth, a lightly sweet malt with some light nutty notes, oily mouthfeel very sweet, slick and cloying in finale. On tap at Patty’s, Dec. 10 2011.
