Bottle at the World Beer Festival - Columbia on 01/22/2011. Slightly hazy golden body with no head. Light pineapple and fruit aroma on a vanilla honey background. Very smooth pineapple flavor with light coconut and fruit on a vanilla background. Medium full body no carbonation.

500ml bottle thanks to cheeseman. Pours a clear amber reddish hue with a small white head. Very bright. A nice easy nose of bourbon cherry and berry. Sweet vanilla and huge tart and sweet dark cherry. Bourbon is big. Apple pie. Pretty smooth. Very good.

Bottle @ Greg’s house, courtesy of arminjewell. Thanks! Clear light yellow appearance with a bubbly, disappearing head. Spicy herbal floral, tropical fruity, peppery, potpourri aroma. A bit spritzy, apple cider, honey, spicy peppery, herbal/floral flavor. Kind of strange.

Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013, 10/08/13. Clear golden with a moderately sized off white head. Nose is light sugars, cherry liqeur, touch of booze. Taste comprises sweet glazed cherries, berry fruit, sugars. Fullish bodied, fine carbonation, oliy drying finish with a touch of booze. Decent enough mead.

Bottle. Pours with a clear, deep burgundy hued body with a surprisingly retentive pink/off-white head that fades to a ring. Aromas are strongly of blackberries, currants, vinous fruit, black pepper, mild honey, light citrus peel, bubble gum ester. Flavors are medium sweet, Concord grape and a sort of artificial berry character (mostly due to the sweetness and lack of tannin). Light clovey euginol, peppery, jammy, slightly dry finish. Peppery back end. Off dry, medium body with a 2.55+ vol of CO2.

Sample at Lucky’s in Dayton. Pours like grape juice with a minimal head and decent legs. Aroma of berries and spice. Medium-bodied with flavors of blackberries, cherries and sweet cloves. The finish is fruity with a mildly tart blackberry taste. Decent overall.
