Bottle. Clear, a bit pale golden pour, with a nice, white head. A bit weak aroma, with malt, grain and some fruity hops. Nice fruity and bitter flavor with some grain and malt. Medium body. The finish has a nice bitterness and some grainy notes. A quite nice pilsener. (070807)

(swing top bottle, Franken Bräu Weißbier, 4.9% abv) Cloudy, orange colour with a mid-sized, diminishing foamy white head. Discreet aroma: yeasty, slightly sweet, moderately wheaty and fruity (banana) nose with light notes of cloves. Slightly sweet flavour with yeasty bitterness, light bodied, moderately carbonated mouthfeel. Wheat-malty, yeasty and fruity taste with no ups and downs; light-sweet and slightly bitter and clovy finish. Middle of the road Weizen.

Bottle. Golden / orange colour with a white head. Aroma is wheat, orange. Flavour is wheat, orange, malt, spices, citrus. Ok wheat beer.

Bottle. (4.9%) Hazy, yellow orange body with a big, diminishing, white head. Banana aroma was released immediately when pouring, but when having a deeper sniff, it turns out that is almost all there is. There’s a clovey spicyness and some wheat and citrus as well, but the banana dominates. There’s a good dash of banana in the flavor as well, and some bitterness to follow it, along with citrus and cloves. Medium body. The finish has mostly banana and citrus, but some spices as well. Refreshing, but not too interesting. (070917)

Bügelverschlußflasche: Moderate sweetish-grainy-papery nose with a very faint tinge of metallic hops; pale golden coloured, quickly collapsing, lightly lacing white head; fizzy MF, moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light- to medium-bodied; sweetish-malty finish with an alcoholic touch. Disappointing, no glory......

Malzig süßer Antrunk mit leicht bitterem Unterton. Im Mittelteil ist es etwas weniger stark, eine herbe Note verdrängt kurzzeitig die Süße, die danach nur abgeschwächt und langsam zurückkehrt. Nur noch leicht malziger Nachgeschmack, wenig süß. Ein angenehmer Malztrunk. 6/10/10/10/6/10

Bottle, 4.9%. Pale golden colour, almost no head. Weird bitterness with a hint of yeast in the aftertaste. Still rather clean. Hard carbonation. Not bad, but not good either.

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a mid-sized foamy white head. Moderately sweet straw-like malty aroma with a touch of grassy hops. Sweet flavour, medium body, soft carbonation. Pale malt-accented taste with a touch of honey and a restrained hoppiness; slightly sweet and malty finish with only a light tinge of hops.

Bottle: Dark amber coloured, small fluffy head, rather quickly diminishing to a foamy off-white layer; sweet (dark-)malty nose, a bit bready, with traces of caramel and liquorice; sweet malty flavour in the beginning, becoming a bit dryer towards the end, a bit sticky; malty, slightly bitter finish. A bit too much on the sweet side, seems to be rather a Dunkel than a Schwarzbier, but all in all O.K. and tasty.......
